The journal Impact Factor, published by Thomson Reuters, is a measure of the frequency with which the average article in a journal has been cited in a particular year. For example, the 2008 Impact Factor is citations received in 2008 to all articles published in 2007 and 2006, divided by the number of source items published in 2007 and 2006.

There are various ways of assessing a journal, for information on other journal measures, as well as more information on the Impact Factor please consult:

Once we have analyzed the data we will send you information regarding the  ranking and  5 year Impact Factor as soon as possible.

Featured Article

"Carbon Nanotube Synthesis: A Review", by Carole E. Baddour and Cedric Briens, reviews three methods of synthesizing carbon nanotubes, namely arc-discharge, laser-ablation and fixed bed/fluidized bed catalytic, determining that the catalytic technique is the best method because it is simple, inexpensive, energy-efficient and can produce large CNTs quantities of high yield and purity.

About this journal

International Journal of Chemical Reactor Engineering covers the broad fields of theoretical and applied reactor engineering. The range of topics includes single-phase and multi-phase reactor design, operation and control, new chemical reactor concepts, fluid mechanics and fluid dynamics, computational fluid dynamics, catalysis, low and high pressure and temperature operation, environmental and economical implications, as well as topics drawn from the substantial areas of overlap between reaction and reactor engineering. The journal is edited by an impressive list, including Franco Berruti, Cedric Briens, and Hugo de Lasa, leading specialists in chemical reactor engineering. Professor Berruti is the Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Western Ontario.
